Jervenne Teo
Lead, Design & Innovation
SingaporeJervenne believes that design can be a quiet force for dignity and change.
With a strong foundation in Human-Centered Design and Industrial Design, she brings deep expertise in service design, customer experience design, research, prototyping and capability building across local and global contexts. Skilled in engaging diverse audiences, she creates inclusive, strategic solutions that drive real-world change.
Her journey into design for social innovation began with a simple observation, that people’s lives are often shaped by systems that were never designed with them in mind. This realisation drives her to use design to listen deeply, surface unseen struggles, and help people regain trust in the systems that shape their everyday experiences.
Across Southeast Asia, Jervenne’s work combines behavioural change design, advocacy, and design strategy to improve people’s wellbeing. These range from developing advocacy pieces on children’s protection, to co-designing and prototyping solutions with communities and families to help women make better and more informed health choices, to advancing sanitation and hygiene behaviours and addressing the protection needs of women in lower-income contexts.
In Singapore, Jervenne works alongside government agencies and public institutions to make public policies and services more human-centred, from supporting complex families, to improving customer experiences for health programmes, transportation experiences, and the justice system. She also helps public officers and frontline teams build confidence in using design through training, facilitation, and capability-building, creating space for empathy and shared understanding in policymaking.
Guided by curiosity, empathy, and a bridging mindset, Jervenne works to connect people, ideas, and systems, helping organisations see the human stories within their challenges. She wishes to shape futures where communities are enabled by design to feel seen, supported, and part of the change.
